SINGAPORE, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) rising 17.99 points, or 0.54 percent, to close at 3,354.71.
A total of 3.12 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.48 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.09 billion U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainer by 277 to 208.
The STI index went up 8.89 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 3,336.72 Wednesday.
