SEOUL, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Seoul shares ended higher on Thursday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 8.73 points, or 0.36 percent, to settle at 2,443.24. Trading volume stood at 420 million shares worth 5.3 trillion won (4.7 billion U.S. dollars).
South Korea's currency finished at 1,112.8 won against the greenback, up 9.0 won from the previous close.
