KABUL, Afghanistan, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Two Pakistani diplomats who had gone missing on Jalalabad-Torkham highway in eastern Afghanistan's province of Nangarhar last month were recovered by the Afghan security forces, a local television channel Tolo reported Thursday.
"The two Pakistani diplomats who were kidnapped 40 days ago were recovered and rescued by Afghan security forces on Wednesday," Tolo said in its report without providing more details.
Both the diplomats working for Pakistan's Consulate in Jalalabad city the capital of Nangarhar province went missing on June 16 while traveling home to Pakistan.
