KABUL, July 25 (Xinhua) -- At least 14 militants including three group commanders have been killed and another injured in a security forces operation against Taliban in the eastern Logar province, according to local government on Tuesday.
The operations, according to a statement released by the Interior Ministry, was launched in Niazi village on the outskirts of provincial capital Pul-e-Alam early Tuesday and would last until the area is cleansed of the insurgents.
Taliban militants, who are active in parts of the restive Logar province, are yet to make comment on the report.
