The opening ceremony of the 19th International Botanical Congress is held in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, July 24, 2017. A total of 6,953 botanists and scholars from 109 countries and regions participated in the congress. It is held every six years. (Xinhua/Mao Siqian)
