HONG KONG, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 140.74 points, or 0.53 percent, to 26,846.83 points on Monday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 26,674.5 and 26,882.0. Turnover totaled 79.13 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 10.14 billion U.S. dollars).
