SHENZHEN, July 22 (Xinhua) -- Miroslav Klose, who is now touring China with German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, said that he hopes Zhang Yuning can make a success at Werder Bremen in the future.

Zhang, the only Chinese player in the major leagues of Europe now, joined Bremen on loan earlier this month after he completed transfer from Vitesse to West Bromwich. Zhang claimed former Bremen striker Klose was his idol.

When asked if he had any advice for Zhang, Klose said now he was an outsider, but he believed Zhang would have a promising future.

"Bremen is a good team who likes to play attacking football where Zhang could show his gift, I can't give any advices to him, but I have watched his games, he is good, I hope he can succeed," said Klose.

Klose, the all-time World Cup top scorer, witnessed the resurgence of German soccer. He said just like Germany, the key to Chinese soccer is to focus on the youth training.

"Soccer has a lot of parts including clubs and national teams, but the youth training is the fundamental one which is important for players' basic skills, so China should start from this," he said.

Nowadays the Chinese Super league (CSL) has became an attraction for many outstanding players. Klose revealed that he had also received some offers from China before he decided to retire.

"My agent did have contact with Chinese clubs, but nothing happened. I know CSL now have attracted so many super stars the likes of Carlos Tevez, but in Germany there is no broadcast of CSL, so I did't know this league too much," said Klose.
