LUSAKA, July 21 (Xinhua) -- At least 11 people died on the spot while 29 others sustained injuries after a vehicle they were traveling in rolled into a drainage in southern Zambia's Mazabuka district, police said on Friday.
The accident occurred when the truck that was carrying 40 people on Thursday night fell into a drainage at a hill, according to Southern Province Police Commissioner Bonnie Kapeso.
Among the dead includes six males, two females and three babies, he added.
According to the police chief, the accident could have been caused due to inexperience by the driver.
