TEHRAN, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Three terror suspects and one Iranian security officer were killed in anti-terror operations in northwestern Iran, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said Friday.
Four other terrorists and one IRGC member were wounded during the raids, the IRGC said on its website.
The rest of the terrorists fled to the border region, it added, without disclosing further details.
Iranian security and intelligent forces will deal determinedly with the "foreign-supported elements" which threaten the security and tranquility of the country, the IRGC added.
Last month, the IRGC also disbanded a terrorist group in the western province of Kurdistan, killing three terror suspects and arresting one.
Over recent months, Iranian security forces have launched anti-terror operations in different parts of the country.
