JALALABAD, Afghanistan, July 20 (Xinhua) -- At least four policemen were killed and two others injured as a roadside bomb planted by militants struck a police van in Khogiani district of Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan on Thursday, spokesman for the provincial government Attaullah Khogiani said.
"A mine planted by militants struck a police vehicle in Khogiani district early today, killing four police personnel on the spot and injuring two others," Khogiani told reporters here.
Neither Taliban nor the Islamic State group that are active in Nangarhar province has claimed responsibility for the attack.
