SEOUL, July 18 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's parliament on Tuesday adopted a resolution denouncing the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s test-launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) earlier this month.

The 300-seat National Assembly held a plenary session, where 216 lawmakers voted for the resolution with two in abstention.

On July 4, the DPRK announced its successful test-firing of an ICBM that flew about 930 km and was lofted as high as around 2,800 km.

The resolution strongly urged the DPRK to immediately stop all acts, including the nuclear development and missile launches that escalate military tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

The DPRK's continued nuclear test and missile launches, the resolution said, caused anger beyond concerns of the international community as well as South Korea.
