China's fixed-asset investment up 8.6 pct in H1

BEIJING, July 17 (Xinhua) -- China's fixed-asset investment grew 8.6 percent year on year in the first six months of this year, down 0.6 percentage points from that recorded during the first quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said on Monday.
