BUDAPEST, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese diver Chen Yiwen finished fourth in women's 1m springboard of the 17th FINA World Championships here on Saturday, while Maddison Keeney of Australia took on the final attempt to come back for the gold.

The 18-year-old Chen once climbed on top of the ranking after the first two rounds, before suffering a 52.90-point third round to slid to the third position.

The next two attempts gave Chen little chance of making a comeback, especially as she just snatched 49.20 points in the fourth round, ranked 11th of the dive. She was placed fourth with a total of 294.70 points.

It was a celebrating day for Keeney in the Duna Arena, as the Australian harvested 73.60 points in the final round to set the total score at 314.95 after five rounds.

Keeney moved past Russian Nadezhda Bazhina, who failed to maintain her leading position with a score of 62.40 points for the final attempt and was 10.25 points shy of Keeney.

Elena Bertocchi of Italy sat third with 296.40 points.
