LONDON, July 14 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.47 percent, or 35.05 points, to close at 7,378.39 points.
Anglo American, a multinational mining company, soared 2.10 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Micro Focus International and Fresnillo increased by 1.95 percent and 1.58 percent, respectively.
A major British residential property development company Barratt Developments was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.50 percent.
