SINGAPORE, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) climbing 26.76 points, or 0.83 percent, to close at 3,235.67.
A total of 2.38 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.1 billion Singapore dollars (about 797.15 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 255 to 198.
The STI index dropped 9.89 points, or 0.31 percent, to close at 3,208.91 on Wednesday.
