Qatar signs deal with U.S. on combatting terrorism

DOHA, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Qatar and the United States signed Tuesday an agreement on combatting terrorism during U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's visit to the Gulf state, local media said.

Qatar and the United States have signed a memorandum of understanding outlining future efforts for Qatar to step up fight against terrorism.

In addition, the agreement contains items on funding issues in connection with terrorism, it said.
