JERUSALEM, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Israel and India inked Wednesday seven cooperation agreements and agreed to fight together against terrorism, on the second day of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's landmark visit to Israel.

The cooperation between the two nations was a "marriage made in heaven," Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the ceremony, alongside Modi.

The agreements are the peak of Modi's three-day visit to Israel, which marks 25 years of full diplomatic relations between the two countries and is aimed at bringing them even closer.

The agreements involve the fields of water, agriculture, space, and research and development, according to a statement issued by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office.

"Our goal is to build a relationship that reflects our shared priorities and draws on enduring bonds between our peoples," Modi told joint press conference.

The two leaders also agreed to work together against "forces of terror that threat the peace and stability."

In addition to his meeting with Netanyahu, Modi is scheduled to hold talks with technology and agriculture firms.

On Wednesday, he also met Moshe Holtzberg, whose parents were killed in the 2008 attack on the Jewish center of Chabad House in Mumbai, India.

Modi's schedule also includes a visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial and a meeting with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, but no meeting with Palestinian officials.
