BRUSSELS, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Belgian police arrested four people overnight during raids in counter-terrorism raids, local media reported on Wednesday.

Weapons and ammunitions were found after six police search in Anderlecht (Brussels region) and four people have been arrested for questioning. The federal prosecutor confirmed this information and will decide in the afternoon whether these four persons would be held in custody.

The four individuals arrested during the night are said to have links with the Kamikaze Riders, a Belgian motor gang already known by the Belgian judiciary authorities. Two persons of this gang were indeed arrested in October 2016 for involvement into a terrorist activity.

In the meantime, another person suspected to be a member of the Kamikaze Riders was apprehended on Wednesday morning in France, said the local newspaper La Libre.

This case of counter-terrorism is completely distinct from the terror attacks in Paris and Brussels in November 2015 and in March 2016, said the federal prosecutor.
