BUENOS AIRES, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Argentine exports reached 174 different international destinations in the first five months of the year, a trade organization said on Tuesday.

The Argentine International Trade and Investment Agency (AAICI) released its latest "Map of Exports in Argentina," showing exports amounted to 22.871 billion U.S. dollars from January to May, a 1.4-percent increase over the same period last year.

According to the report, export prices rose 9.3 percent, while volumes decreased 7.3 percent.

The 174 export destinations included two new markets, in keeping with the country's goal of diversifying its export markets.

A total of 7,157 Argentine companies exported products over the period.
