Kazakhstan's Altay beat Beijing BAIC Motor at AVC men's club volleyball championship

HANOI, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan's Altay beat China's Beijing BAIC Motor 25-19, 25-22, 25-14 on Tuesday in a quarterfinal match at the 2017 AVC (Asian Volleyball Confederation) Men's Club Volleyball Championship in Vietnam' s northern Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh provinces.

In another quarterfinal, Japan's Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza beat Vietnam 3-0.

Also on Tuesday, Qatar's Al Arabi defeated Chinese Taipei's Taichung Bank 3-0, and Iran's Sarmayeh Bank beat Iraq's Al-Bahri 3-1.

On Wednesday, Beijing BAIC Motor will clash with Vietnam, and Taichung Bank with Al-Bahri.

The teams from Kazakhstan, Japan, Qatar and Iran will play in the semifinals and the final from Wednesday to Thursday. The champions will represent Asia at the 2017 Men's Club World Championship slated for December in Poland.
