TEHRAN, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Iran's capital Tehran hosts an international cartoon contest on the U.S. President Donald Trump.

The event, dubbed "International Trumpism Cartoon and Caricature Contest," opened in Tehran on Monday to showcase caricatures and cartoons on themes derived from Trump's domestic and international policies.

Some 1,600 artworks by over 550 Iranian and international artists from 75 countries will be on show at Tehran's Art Bureau until July 9.

The event is organized jointly by Iran's Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense Works and Values, and Tehran Municipality's Beautification Organization.
