MINSK, June 28 (Xinhua) -- The Belarusian National Bank made a decision to reduce the refinancing rate from 13 percent to 12 percent starting from July 19, the press service of the central bank said on Wednesday.

The central bank will also reduce the interest rates on standing and bilateral transactions designed to maintain the current liquidity of banks from 15 percent to 14 percent.

Inflation in Belarus remains at a low level. The growth rates of money supply are moderate. There are also positive changes in the balance of payments and the stability of the foreign exchange market.

The possibilities for further reduction in interest rates will depend on the stability of decreasing inflation risks, the press service said.

The National Bank of Belarus has already reduced the refinancing rate for the sixth time this year. Enditem
