BEIJING, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.56 percent to close at 3,173.2 points.
The smaller Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.8 percent lower at 10,451.57 points. The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.64 percent to close at 1,808.2 points.
