TOKYO, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced Tuesday morning as investor sentiment was bolstered by the yen's depreciation against the U.S. dollar which lifted exported issues.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 6.72 points, or 0.42 percent, to 1,618.93.

Iron and steel, mining and securities-linked stocks comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
