NAIROBI, June 26 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Monday.

-- Electoral commission officials on Sunday said that the printing of ballot papers for all elective seats in the Aug. 8 polls has started in Dubai, save for those for presidential polls. Printing of ballot papers for presidential polls would start on July 17, with the exercise going on despite a court case by the Opposition challenging it. The agency said it approved the ballot printing for most of the candidates where there are no issues. (Daily Nation)

-- Opposition National Super Alliance (Nasa) candidate Raila Odinga steps up campaigns in western Kenya, a region seen as a battleground with ruling party Jubilee. Odinga told residents he would ensure a Kenyan island Uganda is laying claim to revert to the country. (The Standard)
