5.7-magnitude quake hits off Coracora, Peru -- USGS

NEW YORK, June 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted 60km SE of Coracora, Peru, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said on Saturday.

The epicenter, with a depth of 69.05 km, was initially determined to be at 15.471 degrees south latitude and 73.4519 degrees west longitude.
