DUBAI, June 24 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) top diplomat said on Saturday that he believes in the ability of the newly appointed Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman to "modernize and develop" the region.

The 31-year old Saudi Crown Prince "brings the hopes of a young generation that looks forward to modernization and development," Anwar Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, said on twitter.

On Friday, the Saudi-led coalition, which severed ties with Qatar on June 5, issued a list of 13 demands for Doha to end the crisis, including reducing its ties with Iran and closing the Al-Jazeera TV station.
