RIYADH, June 23, (Xinhua) -- A fugitive blew himself up to avoid arrest in a number of raids in Saudi Arabia holy city Mecca on Friday, Sabq online news reported.
No official confirmation was made about the raids, in which the news portal highlighted that the they led to several arrests in two neighborhoods in Mecca and a location in Jeddah.
The raids were part of a nation-wide war against terrorism that hardly hit the country with many deadly blasts in recent years, most of them were adopted by Islamic State militant group.
