Dollar changes hands in lower 111 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, June 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 111 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, principally in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 111.31-32 yen compared with 111.27-37 yen in New York and 111.00-02 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1150-1150 dollars and 124.11-15 yen against 1.1147-1157 dollars and 124.09-19 yen in New York and 1.1162-1163 dollars and 123.90-94 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
