LUSAKA, June 22 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Thursday.

-- The Zambian government has been urged to consider finding alternative ways of sustaining HIV/AIDS interventions instead of depending on donor funding.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation country programs manager Mabvuto Kango said Zambia has one of the highest HIV prevalence rates in sub-Sahara Africa hence the need to ensure that the country has a domestic sustainable fund to support intervention measures. (Zambia Daily Mail)

--The Zambian cabinet has approved a new mobile licensing framework to open up the telecommunication market beyond the current three mobile operators.
