KHARTOUM, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Sudan on Tuesday condemned the van attack near a mosque in the British capital London, describing it as "a criminal act."
Sudan's foreign ministry expressed in a statement "its strong condemnation of the run-over incident ... which targeted the worshippers after performing their prayers," calling the attack a "criminal act contradicting all humanitarian and religious values."
The ministry expressed condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the British government and people, reiterating Sudan's full solidarity with and support to Britain.
A van driven by a 48-year-old white man ploughed into a group of Muslim worshippers in the Finsbury Park Mosque on Monday, killing one people and injuring nine.
