BANGKOK, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Two sanitation workers were slightly injured on Friday in a bomb explosion near UNESCO office in Thai capital Bangkok, local media reported.
The explosion took place at about 1:30 p.m. local time.
Two female sanitation workers found a cloth bag which contained a certain object taped up in black near a local school. They took it with them for a while before it exploded, according to reports from Thai media.
The two workers, aged 51 and 43 respectively, suffered slight injuries in their legs and were sent to hospital.
Thai police is still investing the incident, while some reports said the bomb looked like a ping pong bomb.
Police assumed the bomb was left by some youths.
