Nearly 300 athletes to participate in BRICS Games in Guangzhou

GUANGZHOU, China, June 16 (Xinhua) -- The first edition of BRICS Games will open in South China's city Guangzhou on Saturday.

Some 300 athletes from the BRICS countries, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, will participate in the Games which feature three sports - basketball, volleyball and wushu, organizes said here on Friday.

The Games will close on June 21.
