"The Mummy" rules Chinese box office

BEIJING, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Universal's fantasy movie "The Mummy" topped the Chinese box office with an estimated 356 million yuan (52.4 million U.S. dollars) in the week ending June 11.

Warner Bros.' superhero film "Wonder Woman" took second place for the week, taking in 211 million yuan.

Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" took third place, earning 119 million yuan. The fifth installment of the "Pirates" franchise has so far grossed 1.1 billion yuan since its debut in the Chinese film market on May 26.

In fourth place was Indian drama "Dangal," generating 67 million yuan.

Rounding out the top five was domestic romance "How Are You," which grossed 31 million yuan.
