ISLAMABAD, June 12 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistani army said Monday that Indian cross Line of Control (LoC) firing has killed at least two civilians in the disputed Kashmir region.

"Indian troops initiated unprovoked heavy weapons including mortar firing targeting Civil population along LOC in Jandrot and Hot Spring sector today," an army statement said.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner, J.P. Singh and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian forces.

"The deliberate targeting of civilians is indeed condemnable and contrary to human dignity and international human rights and humanitarian laws," Foreign Ministry officials told the Indian envoy.
