TEHRAN, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Iran arrested another seven linked to the recent deadly terrorist attacks in the capital Tehran, local media reported on Saturday.

Seven people were arrested in Iran's northern province of Alborz in connection with the twin terrorist attacks that killed 17 on Wednesday, a judicial official was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency.

The seven people, arrested in Fardis town west of Tehran, provided the logistics for the Wednesday terrorist attacks in the capital, according to Ahmad Fazelian, head of Alborz Province's justice department.

Also, the intelligence office of Iran's Fars province announced that seven people affiliated to terrorist groups were arrested in an operation on Thursday and Friday, semi-official Mehr news agency reported on Saturday.

On Friday, Iran's Intelligence Ministry said security forces had arrested 41 individuals linked to the Islamic State (IS) in Tehran, Kermanshah, Kurdistan and West Azarbaijan provinces.

Earlier in the day, the Intelligence Ministry said it identified a number of IS terrorists' hideouts in the northwest of Iran and seized a sizable amount of ammunition.

It also said the Islamic republic was hunting for the command centers of the terrorists beyond the borders.

In two separate attacks by the IS militants against Iran's Majlis (parliament) and the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic republic on Wednesday, at least 17 were killed and more than 50 others injured.

The six assailants were killed by Iran's security forces.
