NANNING, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang has called for efforts to contain the spread of smuggling while protecting market order and national security.
Wang made the remarks during his inspection of southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from Thursday to Friday.
Wang visited China-Vietnam border regions where he learned about trade, anti-smuggling work and the construction of a cross-border economic cooperation zone.
Noting that China still faces a grave situation in anti-smuggling, Wang asked local authorities to primarily target the smuggling of grain, frozen products, guns and drugs, among others.
