BEIJING, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Xinhua will invest 1 million U.S. dollars to set up a fund to boost media cooperation among BRICS countries, according to Xinhua President Cai Mingzhao.
Cai, also executive president of the BRICS Media Forum, made the announcement at the forum's presidium meeting Wednesday.
"The fund will be used to facilitate the implementation of the action plan for BRICS countries to strengthen media cooperation and the development of practical cooperation," Cai said.
