Dollar changes hands in upper 110 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, May 31 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 110 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday, largely unchanged from levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 110.86-87 yen compared with 110.77-87 yen in New York and 111.07-09 yen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1173-1174 dollars and 123.85-87 yen against 1.1179-1189 dollars and 123.92-124.02 yen in New York and 1.1140-1142 dollars and 123.73-77 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
