KASHIMA, Japan, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Pedro Junior scored to help Kashima Antlers lead Guangzhou Evergrande 1-0 at the first half of the AFC Champions League round of 16 second leg here on Tuesday.
In the 28th minute, the Brazilian striker fired a long-range shot to make keeper Zeng Cheng no chance after dribbling through Guangzhou's defence.
Guangzhou nearly equalized in the 39th minute, only to see Kwoun Sun-TaeHuang stop Bowen's free-kick shot from left side of the box.
Kashima missed chance to increase their lead as Shuto Yamamoto's header went wide of the right post.
