PARIS, May 29 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.08 percent, or 4.17 points, to close at 5,332.47 points.
Among the 40 selected large companies, 24 lost in the day.
Mobile phone maker Nokia tumbled 0.97 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French multinational automotive supplier Valeo was down 0.92 percent, and French industrial group Bouygues lost 0.79 percent.
French retail giant Carrefour rose 2.25 percent, the top gainer of the day. Belgian chemical company Solvay gained 0.81 percent, while French banking giant Societe Generale was up 0.77 percent. Enditem
