MOSCOW, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Russia is expected to sell 365 most advanced Ka-62 helicopters by 2030, Russian Industry and Trade Ministry said Friday.

"The implementation of the program will not only ensure the steady revenues of the Russian Helicopters Group from sales in the period from 2018-2030, but also take at least 20 percent of the market share of mid-range helicopters by 2025," the Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov was quoted as saying in a statement.

On Thursday, the cutting-edge helicopter took its first trial flight over the site of Progress Arsenyev Aviation Company affiliated to the Russian Helicopters Group, which Manturov called "a landmark event for the domestic helicopter industry".

The Ka-62 helicopter is developed by the Russian Helicopters Group in the framework of State Program "Development of the Aviation Industry for 2013-2025", according to the statement.

Established in 2007, the Russian Helicopters Group is a leading player in the global helicopter industry, with business including designing, manufacturing, testing and after-sales support.
