TOKYO, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks declined Friday morning as investors opted to secure gains following the market's recent rise, with the overall mood lackluster after OPEC's agreement to extend production cuts sent energy-linked stocks lower.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 51.02 points, or 0.26 percent, from Thursday to 19,762.11.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, fell 4.45 points, or 0.28 percent, to 1,573.97.

Mining, machinery and oil and coal product-linked stocks comprised those that retreated the most by the morning break.
