TOKYO, May 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 110 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, dropping from levels seen overnight in New York.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 110.94-95 yen compared with 111.25-35 yen in New York and 111.30-31 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1237-1238 dollars and 124.68-72 yen against 1.1232-1242 dollars and 125.02-12 yen in New York and 1.1171-1172 dollars and 124.34-38 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
