UNITED NATIONS, May 22 (Xinhua) -- The UN chief will deliver an address on "Climate Action: Mobilizing the World" at New York University Stern School of Business" on May 30, a UN spokesman said on Monday.

"The Secretary-General's formal remarks will be followed by a conversation with young people, the business community, civil society and others on how to address the crucial challenge of climate change and seize the opportunities of climate action," said Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, at the daily news briefing.

Early on March 23, the UN chief said at the "High-level Meeting on Climate Change and the Sustainable Development Agenda" that "climate change is an unprecedented and growing threat to peace and prosperity and the same in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals."

"Scientists around the world have been sounding the alarm for years. Their work has been reviewed and endorsed by all the world's governments through the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change," Guterres said at the March meeting, adding that "we face serious risks across the whole of the 2030 Agenda."
