FRANKFURT, May 22 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 19.23 points, or 0.15 percent, to close at 12,619.46 points.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens lost the most among the blue chips, down by 1.15 percent, followed by pharmaceutical company Merck and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies, which lost 1.12 percent and 0.89 percent respectively.
Energy group RWE, housing association Vonovia and German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom were the top three winners, rising 2.91 percent, 1.89 percent and 1.43 percent respectively.
Siemens was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 213.84 million euros (240.42 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
