BERLIN, May 22 (Xinhua) -- German police gave all-clear at Monday noon after the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) in Berlin were evacuated due to suspicious object.
It was a kind of self-built wooden chest that looked like a donation box, therefore the police was alarmed, German media Bavarian Radio reported.
A SPD spokeswoman said earlier that the suspicious object was being examined by the police wearing splinter protection vests as a routine precaution.
As a result, the SPD headquarters had been cleared for about 90 minutes.
