5.9-magnitude quake hits 23km S of Loay, Philippines -- USGS

HONG KONG, May 20 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted 23km S of Loay, Philippines at 01:06:13 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 521.04 km, was initially determined to be at 9.3905 degrees north latitude and 123.9792 degrees east longitude.
