HOHHOT, May 17 (Xinhua) -- More than 800 people and two aircraft are fighting a forest fire that broke out Wednesday in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, according to local authorities.

The fire started around noon in a forest in Chenbarerhu Banner in the city of Hulunbuir.

The fire has burned through around 300 hectares.

No casualties have been reported.
