Program launched to raise funds for volunteers bicycles along Belt and Road

BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Red Cross Foundation (CRCF) Monday launched a program to raise funds for 1 million bicycles for volunteers to provide better humanitarian services in countries along the Belt and Road.

The program, "Volunteers on Wheels," will raise funds for the first batch of 10,000 bicycles, and they would be fitted with equipment to assist in emergency aid and disaster relief.

The program is sponsored by the Belt and Road Fraternity Fund, a non-profit project established by the CRCF in February, which aims to contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative by providing humanitarian services.
